My career in data spans over 25 years, with deep experience in regulated industries where data accuracy and privacy aren't optional — they're the law.
At Zions Bancorporation, I spent 8 years as Data Lead for Government Compliance, serving as the data liaison for federal auditors from the OCC, FDIC, and CFPB. I became a subject matter expert in compliance standards including PCI, AML, and KYC, leading data governance initiatives across 30+ banking and investment systems.
At Ancestry.com, I worked with genomic data — one of the most sensitive categories of personal information — and was heavily involved in achieving full GDPR compliance for the data warehouse.
I've also implemented HIPAA-compliant systems in healthcare and insurance settings, giving me firsthand experience with the regulatory frameworks that govern health data.
